Near' Program The Ministry of External Affairs has launched a new program 'Near' (Student and Foreign Ministry Participation Program), so that Indian students gain an understanding of India's place in the world and its global ambitions as well as diplomacy. 



To be prepared as a career option. It is an "outreach" mission by the Ministry of External Affairs to explain India's foreign policy and its worldwide functioning to students across the country.

BJP's sixth consecutive victory in Gujarat The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections on December 18, 2017 for the sixth consecutive time. Of the total 182 seats in the Gujarat assembly elections, BJP has got 99 seats while Congress has got 77 seats. Apart from these, 1 seat has gone to the account of NCP, 2 BTP and 3 independents. BJP got 49.1% votes and Congress got 41.4% votes. Significantly, this is the BJP's sixth consecutive victory in the state. The BJP party has been in power in Gujarat for the last 22 years.

According to the report, more than 15.6 million Indians live abroad.
