•  Agreement between India and France? 

 Technology Development Board (TDB), Science and Technology by the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 February 2017Informed about the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Department (Government of India) and BPI France, (BPI France), a public investment bank, France. The agreement will promote technological exchange through collaboration between institutions, companies and organizations in France and India, establishing coordinated measures in the fields of science, technology and innovation.



  • China became the largest producer of solar energy?  

According to a new report from China's Energy Administration, China has become the world's largest producer of solar energy.  The National Energy Administration of China announced that their photovoltaic (PV) capacity reached 77.42 GW.  Germany, a former global solar-energy leader, produced 40.78 GW in November 2016.  'International Vision Zero Conference on Occupational Safety and Health' International Conference on Vision Zero on the Relevance of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) by the Government of India Directorate General Factory Advance and Labor Institute (DGFASLI) Ministry of Labor and Employment and German Social Accident Insurance (DGVV)  ), Organized in collaboration with the International Social Security Association (ISSA) with Germany from 15 to 17 March 2017 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.  The purpose of the conference was to focus on occupational safety and health issues and challenges in the manufacturing, construction and mining sectors.  The exchange of knowledge, behavior and experience will provide a platform to promote safety and health at the workplace.

  • Agreement between India and Australia? 

 On 22 February 2017, the Union Cabinet gave its approval for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Australia to support and enhance civil aviation security. The MoU will provide an opportunity for Indian aviation security officials to share expertise with their Australian counterpart and improve the overall aviation safety environment in India. It is noteworthy that this agreement will promote growth in the field of security cooperation between the two countries as well as ensure compliance with international obligations.
